It\u00a0is an old market town\u00a0characterized by winding cobbled streets and narrow alleys with old merchant houses and cottages from ancient times.<\/p>\n<p>On G\u00e5setorvet Square you find a statue of the famous Danish physicist <a title=\"Hans Christian \u00d8rsted\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%C3%98rsted\">Hans Christian \u00d8rsted <\/a>(1777-1851), who along with his brother Anders Sandoe Oersted grew up in here.<br \/>\nAt Langeland you&#8217;ll see\u00a0<em>hatbakker &#8211;<\/em>\u00a0long parallel rows of 10-20 meters high hills &#8211; which\u00a0are believed to be formed by the ice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This summer school will take place in\u00a0Rudk\u00f8bing on the island Langeland.
